Erdogan will discuss with the Turkish government the process of shipping grain from Ukraine

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will discuss the process of shipment of grain from Ukraine and the “product deal” at a cabinet meeting on Monday.

The official representative of the President of Turkey, Ibrahim Kalin, said earlier that it is highly likely that the first ship with grain will leave Ukraine on August 1. On July 22, in Istanbul, multilateral agreements were signed on lifting restrictions on the supply of Russian products for export and on Russia’s assistance in the export of Ukrainian grain. The deal, which was signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN, involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizer across the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.

It is specified that the impact of the steps taken in the fight against inflation will also be discussed.

The rising number of coronavirus infections will also be on the cabinet’s agenda. The impact of the number of cases on hospitalization rates will be reviewed, along with recent vaccination data. In addition to the fight against terrorism, events in the Aegean and the Mediterranean will also be discussed. After the meeting, President Erdogan will address the nation.
