As noted, the United Airlines plane, which took off from Hong Kong for Guam on Tuesday at 10.30, was forced to return to the airport of departure and make an emergency landing due to alleged engine damage. The accident could have been caused by a bird getting into the plane’s engine, resulting in a fire, the report said.

The plane landed in Hong Kong at 11:39 a.m., and there were no reports of casualties.
