The proposal meant that the government should receive a mandate to send an evacuation force of no more than 400 people to Sudan, the Riksdag voted in favor of it on Sunday morning.

As expected, up to 150 troops will be sent to Sudan.

The death toll from the clashes in the country has risen to 600, according to Sudan’s health minister.
