According to sources, the meeting was devoted to the way to reach an agreement on a memorandum of understanding to end the war.
⠀
During his visit to Miami, Al Thani called the Saudi Foreign Minister to discuss mediation efforts in the peace process.
⠀
“One of the sources said that Qatar, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are trying to reach a (peace) agreement together,” the media wrote.
⠀
US President Donald Trump said earlier that Iran would soon provide its response to Washington’s peace proposals.

On February 28, the United States and Israel began attacking targets in Iran, and more than 3,000 people became victims of aggression. Washington and Tehran announced a cease-fire on April 8. The negotiations that took place in Islamabad after that ended in vain, while no resumption of hostilities was reported, but the United States began a blockade of Iranian ports.
