Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin had his second conversation in a day with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and confirmed the United States’ support for Israel, the American department reports on its website.

“Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke with Israeli Defense Secretary Yoav Galant for the second time today and reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering support for Israel’s defense in light of the unprecedented attack from Iran,” the US department said in a press release.

The defense chiefs discussed the “outstanding defense efforts and strong cooperation undertaken to repel the Iranian attack.”

“Secretary Austin has made it clear that Israel can count on the full support of the United States,” the Pentagon added.
