Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation around the grain deal during telephone conversations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the office of the Turkish leader said.

“President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the conversation, regional issues were discussed, especially the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war. President Erdogan said that Ankara will continue to take the necessary initiatives to all parties to solve problems related to implementation of the Istanbul Memorandum on the supply of grain,” the statement said.
