Iran says it has developed the first hypersonic ballistic missile.

Iran has developed the first domestic hypersonic ballistic missile, Amirali Hajizadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Armed Forces) of Iran, said on Thursday.

“This new missile will pass through all missile defense test systems, and I don’t think there will be technologies capable of countering it for decades,” Hajizadeh quoted Tasnim as saying.

He stressed that the developed missile is a solution for the destruction of enemy anti-missile systems. According to him, the development of such weapons is a big leap in rocket production.
