Zelensky requested a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of India.

Volodymyr Zelensky has requested a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and plans to invite him to Kyiv, Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova said.

Japarova arrived in Delhi on Monday to meet with Indian officials and diplomats. She has already held talks with the Secretary of the Western Department of the Indian Foreign Ministry, Sanjay Verma. Japarova will also hold meetings with State Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi and Deputy National Security Adviser Vikram Misri.

“President Zelensky has requested a phone call for Prime Minister Modi. We invite Prime Minister Modi to visit Kyiv,” she said.

Speaking about the meeting with Verma, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine said that she had invited India to join Volodymyr Zelensky’s Peace Formula and Grain from Ukraine initiatives. Dzheppar also stressed that Ukraine wants a more active political dialogue with India.
