NATO Secretary General commented on Kyiv’s attacks on Russian territory.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, speaking about Kyiv’s attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation, said that Ukraine is exercising its right to defend itself.

“Our position on this issue is unchanged: Ukraine has the right to defend itself,” he told reporters when asked to comment on “Ukraine’s possible attacks on Russian territory” and, in particular, in Moscow.

Stoltenberg, who is taking part in an informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries of the alliance, added that NATO will continue to support Ukraine “for as long as necessary.”

“But this does not make NATO and NATO members part of the conflict. It was our decision: to support Ukraine without turning into a side of the conflict. NATO has two important tasks in this matter: to support Ukraine and prevent this conflict from expanding beyond Ukraine,” – explained the secretary general of the alliance.
