Biden instructed Blinken to allocate aid to Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden has instructed Secretary of State Antony Blinken to provide up to $126 million in aid to Ukraine, according to a White House memorandum.

“I hereby delegate to the Secretary of State the authority <…> to determine the importance for the security interests of the United States of allocating up to $126 million in assistance to Ukraine,” the document says.

The day before, the US administration announced the allocation of the first this year and the 55th overall package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of about $300 million. The Pentagon explained that they managed to find funds by getting suppliers to reduce prices to replenish previously transferred weapons and ammunition.
