Britain has extended the ban on the import of Russian gold.

Britain has extended the ban on the import of Russian gold.

The UK has extended the ban on imports of Russian gold: it now bans the supply of gold processed in third countries and containing gold from Russia, as well as the import of gold jewelry, according to a document published on the website of the British government.

On July 21, the UK imposed sanctions on gold imports from Russia.

“The extension of the existing ban on the import and purchase of gold and related additional services will apply to gold processed in a third country to include gold originating in Russia and gold jewelry,” the document says.

The exception for jewelry is import and export for personal use, the website notes.

In addition, Britain is expanding the ban on imports from Russia of goods that make a profit. The sanctions list includes drinks, spirits, including vodka; vinegar and food waste, in particular beet pulp. The ban will also apply to the provision of related technical assistance, financial services and funds, and brokerage services, the document said.

In addition, the UK has imposed a ban on the export, supply, delivery and provision of additional goods from the list of goods on which the G7 countries are dependent to or for use in Russia. The ban also applies to the import of oil refining technologies, manufacturing products, as well as the provision of related technical assistance, financial services and funds, and brokerage services.
