China urged the West not to inflame the conflict in Ukraine and stop putting pressure on Russia

China opposes the policy of the US and Western countries to foment the conflict in Ukraine and considers it necessary to stop increasing pressure on Russia through the application of unilateral sanctions. This was announced on Wednesday by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian.

“With regard to the situation in Ukraine, China insists that the United States and other Western countries stop adding fuel to the fire, stop increasing unilateral sanctions against Russia,” Lijian stressed at a briefing.

As the Chinese diplomat clarified, Beijing “uses various channels” to maintain contacts with all interested parties.
