Chinese Foreign Minister at a meeting with Blinken demanded that the United States stop slandering China

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on the Indonesian island of Bali, demanded that the US authorities stop slandering China and lift unilateral sanctions. This was announced on Saturday by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

“The US side should stop spreading slander about our country’s political system, stop slandering China’s domestic and foreign policy,” Wang Yi said. “The US should immediately lift the increased duties on Chinese products and lift unilateral sanctions against Chinese companies.”

As the Chinese diplomat stressed, the top leadership in Beijing does not intend to tolerate Washington’s interference in China’s domestic politics. He also warned the United States against trying to start a new Cold War.

“There is no need to hide behind human rights and democracy slogans in order to infringe on the interests of the PRC,” Wang Yi added.
