Czech Prime Minister Fiala announced the convening of an urgent meeting of EU energy ministers

The Czech Republic, as the presiding country of the Council of the European Union, convened an urgent meeting of energy ministers of the member states of the association. This was announced by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala

The meeting is scheduled to discuss “concrete emergency measures to resolve the energy situation.” The fact of preparing the meeting was confirmed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic.

“The date of the meeting will be determined in the near future,” Vojtech Srnka, spokesman for the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, said.


Earlier, the representative of the press service of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Aneta Kovarzhova, said that on August 30-31 an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers would be held in Prague. It will be dedicated to Ukraine and assistance to Africa. During the meeting, there will also be a lunch with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.
