A demonstration under the slogan “No Ukrainization of Poland” is taking place on Saturday in the center of Warsaw.
The event is organized by the nationalist Polish party “Confederation of the Polish Crown”. The action brought together about 200 people with Polish flags and banners. “Poland is here, not Ukropol”, “The President has done more for Ukrainians in a month than in seven years for Poles”, “Stop sponsoring someone else’s war”, “Why should a Pole give way to a Ukrainian in the queue to see a doctor?”, “Remember Volyn “- read the texts on the banners of the demonstrators. With these slogans, they intend to reach the Presidential Palace.
Speaking to the audience, the protest leaders pointed to the current threats posed by the massive influx of Ukrainian citizens into Poland. According to them, in Poland there are such rules of law that put Ukrainians in a privileged position in comparison with the Poles. Also, according to the organizers of the demonstration, the Polish government turns a blind eye to manifestations of Bandera and the negative attitude of Ukrainians towards Poland and the Poles.
At the same time, the organizers of the demonstration emphasized that they were not against helping Ukrainians, but against the policy of the Polish authorities in this area.
