Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria demanded the resignation of the head of government due to the expulsion of Russian diplomats

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Kornelia Ninova called for the resignation of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, Foreign Minister Irena Dimitrova, and head of the National Security Service Plamen Tonchev.

The reason for the tough statement of the politician, voiced from the parliamentary rostrum, was the participation of these persons in the organization of the unprecedented, according to Nina herself, expulsion of 70 representatives of the diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Prime Minister pointed to the need to review the decision of the authorities to declare Russian citizens persona non grata and to study the alleged evidence of their guilt. According to her, only in this way “will it be possible to overcome the huge abyss” towards which the official Sophia is moving. Summing up, Ninova reported on the “difficult winter months” coming to the people of Bulgaria against the backdrop of those striving to break off relations with Russia.
