At least five people were injured in an explosion in the Pakistani city of Quetta, located in the province of Balochistan.

The explosion occurred near the police station in Quetta.

According to rescuers, the wounded were taken to the city’s civilian hospital. Police officers arrived at the scene of the explosion, the area was cordoned off.

The police have not yet made any statement, the cause of the explosion is not clear at the moment.

The incident came just days after the Peshawar bombing, where a suicide bombing killed more than 80 people, mostly police officers.
