France did not rule out an early supply of large-caliber shells to Kyiv.

French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu did not rule out the supply of 155 mm shells to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2023.

On Monday, Lecornu announced that France and Australia had agreed on the production and supply of 155mm shells to Ukraine. “I hope that the first delivery of these shells to Ukraine will take place in the first trimester of this year,” the French minister said following the talks between the Foreign and Defense Ministers of France and Australia in the 2+2 format in Paris.

He explained that these shells will be sent directly from the manufacturer to the Ukrainian army.

Lecornu said last week that Paris would send the first AMX10-RC wheeled tanks to Ukraine in February. French President Emmanuel Macron later said that he did not rule out any options in terms of further arms supplies to Ukraine, including Leclerc tanks.
