In Somalia, 16 suspects were detained in the attack on the hotel.

Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency has detained 16 suspects in the hotel attack on the night of March 15, including organizer Abdinasir Dahir Noor, the information ministry said.

Earlier it was reported that militants from the radical Islamist group Al-Shabab attacked a hotel near the presidential palace in Mogadishu. According to the report, 27 people were injured and three servicemen were killed.

“The National Intelligence and Security Agency has detained 16 suspects, including the organizer Abdinasir Dahir Noor, for involvement (in the attack on the hotel). Four alleged owners of the vehicles and five security officers at the checkpoints are under investigation,” –  a local media report published on his page on the social network X says.


Radical Islamist group Al-Shabab (Young Mujahideen Movement), based in Somalia, has close ties to the international terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. It is waging an armed struggle against the central government of Somalia and obstructing UN humanitarian activities. The US carries out regular strikes on al-Shabaab positions.
