Johnson has dropped out of the Conservative race for British premiership.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not run for the post of leader of the Conservative Party and head of government.

Earlier, he returned to his homeland amid reports of a possible nomination of his candidacy for the post of prime minister. As the Telegraph newspaper later reported, Johnson allegedly called parliamentarians to enlist the support of a sufficient number of party members to participate in the election.
British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced her resignation on October 20, noting that she would remain as head of the cabinet until her successor was elected. She had only been in office for 44 days when her decision was announced, making her the shortest-tenured premier in British history.
