Kazakhstan refused to hold a military parade for Victory Day

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic reported that there are no plans to hold a military parade in Kazakhstan this year, the government has given priority to solving other tasks.

“It is not planned to hold a military parade in Kazakhstan in 2023 due to budget savings, as well as due to the need to solve other tasks. In particular, maintaining the required level of combat readiness and mobility of units of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan is a priority,” the message reads.

The Ministry of Defense plans to “work to perpetuate the memory of Kazakhstani soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War” and conducts other military-patriotic events.
