Lukashenka announced military pressure from the West.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that after the failed attempts at an economic blockade, the West began to put pressure on militarily, building up NATO forces and assets.

“To replace the failed attempts at an economic blockade today, and the economic blockade could not succeed, they just decided to take us in such a rush. If they had thought seriously, they would not have done it, because the economy is basically self-sufficient. It did not work out economically, they began to purposefully put pressure on militarily – to build up NATO forces and assets near the borders of Belarus and Russia,” he said at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus on Thursday in Moscow.

According to Lukashenko, “they are especially concerned about the Kaliningrad region.”

“This is what you see – the rhetoric of a global armed conflict is getting stronger,” the Belarusian president said.
