Poland ordered tanks, howitzers and fighter jets from South Korea

Poland has ordered 1,000 K2 tanks, more than 600 K9 howitzers and three squadrons of FA-50 fighter jets from South Korea, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak told reporters.

“The framework agreements have just been signed, which will eventually strengthen the Polish Army. We don’t have time. We cannot wait and must quickly arm the Polish Army,” Blashchak said.


He clarified that armored vehicles will begin to enter the Polish Army this year.

“Polish soldiers must have modern weapons, and such weapons have been ordered. The first deliveries of howitzers and tanks will be this year. The first aircraft will be delivered to the Air Force next year,” he said.


“As part of the framework agreement that was signed, we will order 1,000 K2 tanks, we will order more than 600 K9 howitzers, we will also order three squadrons of FA-50 aircraft. We can say that, in fact, we have already ordered these weapons,” the minister said. .
