Scholz appreciated the work of law enforcement officers in the case of coup attempts in Germany.

The large-scale operation of law enforcement officers in the case of attempted coup showed that Germany is a protected state that can prevent such violations of the law, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told reporters.

“The most important thing is that we know that we have a secure state, a secure democracy that can prevent such violations of the law and such planning, and all the resources to prevent this,” the chancellor said, commenting on Wednesday’s searches across country in connection with the case of an attempted coup.

Earlier, 25 people were detained on suspicion of participating in a conspiracy to seize power by force in Germany and in his support, searches were carried out in the houses and apartments of another 27 people. Detentions were carried out in the German federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Thuringia, and one detention took place in Austria (Kitzbühel) and Italy (Perugia).
