Starmer ended his resignation speech with a trembling voice

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer ended his speech on resignation from the post of leader of the ruling Labor Party in a trembling voice.

Starmer spoke at Downing Street, where he announced his intention to resign as leader of the Labour Party. At the end of his speech, which lasted just over six minutes, the prime minister’s voice began to tremble.

“When I leave the highest-ranking job in the country, I will devote more time to the most important work: being the best husband I can be to my amazing wife, Vic, who has been my rock through good and bad times, and being the best father I can be to my beautiful children. which are my pride and joy,” he said at the end of the introduction.

Earlier, about 100 Labor MPs called for Starmer’s resignation after the party’s failure in the local elections in May. Their number increased after Starmer’s rival, Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, entered parliament in an attempt to oust the prime minister from office.
