The head of WHO announced an increase in the incidence of coronavirus in almost 70 countries

The increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection is observed in almost 70 countries around the world. This was stated by the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“Nearly 70 countries across all regions have seen an increase in reported cases of COVID-19, and this is happening at a time when testing has dropped dramatically around the world,” Ghebreyesus said during a speech at the 75th World health assembly.

He urged states to achieve at least 70% of the population vaccinated against coronavirus.
On May 20, it was reported that in Russia the level of herd immunity to coronavirus was 36.8%.
