The Kenyan ambassador responded to Borrell’s words that people in Africa don’t know about Putin.

Kenya knows where Russia is located, there are no problems with this, Benson Ogutu, the African state’s ambassador to Moscow said.

So he responded to the remark of the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, who, at a meeting of the European Parliament on the fight against foreign interference, said that he doubted the sincerity of Africans participating in demonstrations in support of Russia. In his opinion, Africans who support Moscow’s position “do not know where the Donbass is and who President Vladimir Putin is.”

“This is his (Borrell) opinion, but as the Ambassador of Kenya, I can assure you that our relations with Russia have developed fruitfully since independence 59 years ago. We know where Russia is, and we have no no problem,” Ogutu said.

President Vladimir Putin also commented on Borrell’s words, noting that Africa knows where Russia is and what role it played in liberation from colonialism.
