The Moldovan opposition is holding a protest action near the EU and US offices.

The Moldovan opposition party Building a Europe at Home (PACE) is holding an anti-government protest in front of the US and EU embassies in Chisinau, as well as the office of the ruling Action and Solidarity party.

Supporters of the PACE party are holding a protest on Sunday against the “domestic and foreign policy of the current government.” They are also dissatisfied with the pressure from the country’s leadership on the opposition.

The protesters gathered at the US Embassy, ​​then marched to the EU Delegation in Moldova and completed the march in front of the office of the Action and Solidarity party. There they set up a Christmas tree and hung black balls with numbers on it, which reflect the increased prices – for utilities, food, fuel, etc.

During the march, the protesters chanted: “Down with Maia Sandu”, “Maia Sandu, don’t forget, Moldova is not your country”, “Maia Sandu is equal to poverty”, “Down with the government of the Action and Solidarity Party”.
