The Pentagon called for assistance to Ukraine in the coming months.

The United States must provide assistance to Ukraine in the coming months, otherwise the previous two years of investment “will not pay off,” said Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Celeste Wallander.

“All the work of the last two years to invest in Ukraine’s future will not pay off if we do not agree on assistance in the next few months,” Wallander said at a House Armed Services Committee hearing.

According to her, agreeing on new US assistance to Ukraine is “critically important.”
