Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said he was “absolutely ready” to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin if it would be useful.

“I must say that I am ‘absolutely ready’ to talk to him (Vladimir Putin) if it will be of any use. But at the moment we do not see anything like that,” Niinistö said, answering a question about the possibility of negotiations with the Russian president in future.

When asked what the Finnish president would advise US President Joe Biden on the issue of dialogue with Putin, Niinistö said he did not think Biden needed his advice.
