The test of hypersonic weapons in the United States has failed

US Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall said that the latest tests of a promising American hypersonic air-launched missile were not successful.

“The ones we just conducted were not successful. We didn’t get the data we needed from the tests,” he said at a congressional hearing.

The tests were conducted on March 13, when the AGM-183 ARRW missile was fired from a B-52H strategic bomber off the coast of California.

The United States is lagging behind in the development of hypersonic weapons from Russia and China, where such systems are already in service.
