US President Joe Biden said that the transfer of the Patriot air defense battery to Ukraine allegedly does not entail an escalation of tension, we are talking about defensive weapons.

“We have not discussed this topic with the president, but we consider (Patriot air defense systems) as a defensive weapons system. It is a defensive system, it does not entail escalation, it is defensive in nature,” Biden said at a joint press conference following negotiations with Zelensky in Washington.
