The transition to the euro will kill the economy of Poland, said the head of the ruling party of the country

The transition to the euro will kill the national economy, said the head of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, Jarosław Kaczynski.

Previously, Poland has repeatedly stated that they are not yet ready for the transition of the country to the European currency. In particular, the authorities of the republic pointed out that the transition to the euro was provided for in the agreement on the country’s accession to the European Union, but the timing of this process was not specified.

“Look at Estonia, look at Lithuania. Inflation is much higher everywhere than here, and they can’t do anything, even raise interest rates. The euro would have killed us during the crisis in 2008-2010 and would have killed us even more today “Kaczynski said.

All weak economies lose on the euro. Who makes money on the euro? Germany and the so-called near-German cluster. That is, Holland, part of Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg,” he added.

“The euro is a decline in living standards, a drop in demand, a decline in GDP. Lobbyists who support this simply support other people’s interests,” the head of the party concluded.
