The West has not decided on the goals of the conflict in Ukraine, Lithuania said.

There is no agreement among Western countries on the goals they pursue in the conflict in Ukraine, said Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.

“My main question is why have we never discussed the ultimate goal? The only discussions or ideas … are about negotiations and peace processes,” Landsbergis said. This makes people from the Baltics nervous, he admitted.

The minister said the failure to define goals and discuss them leaves room for maneuver for those who “hesitate”.

It is noted that due to the lack of agreed goals, assistance to Ukraine takes on an irregular character.
