Trump has been subpoenaed to testify before Congress.

The House Committee investigating the storming of the Capitol sent a subpoena to former US President Donald Trump to testify and present relevant documents.

Materials related to the events of January 6, 2021, are waiting for November 4, congressional investigators want to start interrogating Trump on November 14.

“We are aware that the agenda for the former president is a significant and historic step. It was not an easy decision for us to take this step,” the text of the message says.

Trump has not yet formulated his attitude to the agenda. He can refuse to testify, and during the legal proceedings associated with forcing him to cooperate, the committee may be disbanded if, following the results of the November elections, the House of Representatives comes under the control of his Republican party members.
