Turkey issued companies with lists of goods prohibited for import to Russia

The message is reported that the Turkish authorities have compiled a list of goods for companies prohibited from exporting to Russia.

“The Turkish government handed over to companies a list of banned foreign goods and banned them from supplying these products to Russia from March 1,” Tejdelioglu said.

He also added that goods from the list, produced in any other country, are prohibited from being transported to Russia, however, if the product is manufactured in Turkey using foreign parts, it does not fall under the ban.

Despite Ankara’s attempt to balance between supporting Ukraine and resisting anti-Russian sanctions, Turkey saw a ban on the export of certain products as an opportunity to “avoid confrontation with the EU,” a major importer of its goods, the agency writes.
