Two earthquakes occurred in a marine area off the Peloponnese Peninsula in Greece, the Seismological Laboratory of the University of Athens reported.

The first shock with a magnitude of 5.4 occurred at 09:11 local time, the second with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred a minute later, at 09:12. The source of the first earthquake was at a depth of ten kilometers, 52 kilometers from the city of Pyrgos and 234 kilometers from Athens.


The source of the second earthquake was at a depth of 18 kilometers, 48 ​​kilometers from Pyrgos and 226 kilometers from Athens.


The tremors were not felt in the Greek capital. There is no information about damage from earthquakes.
