US may use force against Iran if JCPOA talks fail

The United States may use force against Iran as a “last resort” in case negotiations to renew the JCPOA fail, President Joe Biden said in an interview with Israel’s Channel 12.

“As a last resort, yes,” the US president said, answering a question from journalist Yonit Levy about the possibility of using force to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.


He also confirmed that the US intends to keep the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the list of terrorist organizations, even if it derails the deal.


US President Joe Biden began his visit to the Middle East, his plane landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday afternoon. During his first tour of the Middle East as President of the United States July 13-16, Biden, in addition to Israel, will also visit the West Bank and Saudi Arabia.
