Qatar’s health ministry on Saturday confirmed the first death due to COVID-19. As the official statement said, it was the Bangladeshi national who lived in Qatar. The doctors add that a patient was suffering from chronic diseases.
Qatar’s statistics on coronavirus show that total cases of coronavirus rise to 537, including one lethal case occurred on Saturday. As the central clinic reports, the Bangladeshi national, who was suffering from chronic diseases, died of the novel virus originated in China.
The Qatari Health Ministry also informed that the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases surged to 509, as 28 more people tested positive. Across the country, 45 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospitals since the beginning of the outbreak, the statement added.

After first appearing last December, the virus COVID-19 has spread to at least 177 countries and territories, according to data compiled by U.S.-based Johns Hopkins University.
