“As free democrats, we demand the dismantling of Nord Stream 2, as well as the speedy development of a concept regarding legal, technical and environmental guarantees,” the document, adopted at a meeting in Bremen, says.

According to the faction, Germany should reduce purchases of all energy and raw materials from Russia and Belarus. The FDP assured Kyiv of further support. The coalition is confident that the effect of anti-Russian restrictions is already visible.

“We demand the expansion of sanctions against members of the Russian leadership and advocate the expulsion [from the EU] of family members of persons on the sanctions list and the deprivation of their visas. If individual countries, including candidates for EU accession, circumvent sanctions or even supply weapons to Russia, then this cannot be left without consequences and objections. If candidate countries for EU accession circumvent sanctions, then they should be deprived of the assistance that is provided before joining, ”the text says.

Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda called for dismantling the gas pipeline.

“The change of policy involves not just the suspension of Nord Stream 2, but also the liquidation, complete dismantling of the gas pipeline,” the Polish leader said.
