Kosovo Albanian authorities have detained a third Serb.

The police of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo have detained another former police officer of Serbian nationality, Sladjan Trajkovic, in northern Kosovska Mitrovica.

“The detainee lives in the area with a mixed population of Bosnjachka Mahala, he is one of the police officers who resigned. His wife confirmed the fact of detention and said that he was suspected of war crimes,” the source reports.

Trajkovic was the third former Kosovo Serb police officer detained in Pristina after Milyan Adzic and Dejan Pantic.

Tensions remain in Kosovo and Metohija. Police in self-proclaimed Kosovo said on Tuesday that the Jarine and Brnjak checkpoints at the exit to central Serbia remain closed indefinitely, allegedly because “barricades on the highways interfere with the movement of transport and goods.”
