More than half of Britons are dissatisfied with the government, the poll showed.

Most Britons are dissatisfied with the results of the Conservative government and want a new government, according to a survey conducted by the international research company Ipsos Group.

Respondents were asked about the outcome of the next general election and asked to choose the closest statement to them from the proposed set, if any.

“The Conservative government has done a poor job and the next election is a time for change” was the most popular answer, scoring 55% in a recent poll by the Ipsos Group.

In second place (15%) – the option “the Conservative government did a poor job, but the next election is not the time for change.” In third place is the option “the Conservative government has done a good job, but the next election is time for change,” which gained 11%. Only 10% of respondents want to keep the current government.

According to the poll, 55% of Britons are also dissatisfied with the performance of Rishi Sunak as prime minister.

The survey was conducted from 18 to 25 January 2023 among 1001 Britons who have reached the age of 18. The statistical error of the survey is not specified.

In December 2019, the Conservative Party won a landslide victory in the general election, showing the best result in more than 30 years.
The next general election must take place in the UK before the end of 2024.
