Wang Yi urged the UK to be objective about China’s development.

The UK should treat China’s development objectively and fairly, as it is a boon to the whole world, said Wang Yi, head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC Central Committee), member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee during a meeting with British Foreign Minister James Cleverley in Munich on Saturday.

“The UK should look at the development of China objectively and fairly. The modernization of a large country with a population of 1.4 billion people is a great progress of human civilization, and this is a great benefit to the world, not a threat,” Wang Yi said on the official website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Wang Yi also stressed that Beijing and London should “stick to the right direction and promote the healthy development of bilateral relations.
