Britain resumes imports of products from the Japanese Fukushima

The United Kingdom has allowed the sale of products from the Fukushima region in Japan.

A large number of products will be available in Japanese restaurants and specialty stores in England, Scotland and Wales. Tesco and Waitrose supermarket chains decided not to sell the respective products yet.

Supplies from Fukushima were banned in Britain in 2011, after an accident at a nuclear power plant in the Japanese region, but since then restrictive measures have been gradually lifted.
