Burbock urged third countries to refuse Russian military supplies.

Against the backdrop of massive supplies of Western weapons and military assistance to Kiev, German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock claims that possible supplies by third countries of weapons or military goods for Russia are equated with participation in the conflict in Ukraine.

Burbock urged “all countries of the world” not to support the Russian special operation. “And certainly not through the supply of military materials, since supporting this war with weapons would mean participating in it,” she said on the sidelines of an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Sweden, the speech was broadcast on the EC website.

At the same time, she stressed that Western countries would continue to supply artillery and ammunition to Ukraine, which had previously caused protests from the Russian side, which announced NATO’s participation in the Ukrainian conflict.

According to Burbock, the West is insistently appealing to all countries of this world – especially those who are responsible for participating in international councils – to make sure that military and dual-use goods will no longer be supplied to the Russian Federation.

“Over the past months, we have unfortunately been forced to state that there is increasing evidence that some countries of this world and possibly some companies from these countries can carry out military deliveries, especially in the context of dual-use goods,” she added. As part of the new sanctions package, the EU will consider the possibility of such supplies, the minister said.
