EU energy companies urged Britain to eliminate dangerous impurities from the supplied gas

A number of European energy companies have called on the UK to take immediate action on hazardous impurities in natural gas supplied to the EU.

In recent months, the amount of impurities in the gas supplied by Britain has reached an unprecedented level.

In particular, among solid impurities there are toxic, radioactive and pyrophoric materials.
If London does not solve this problem and continues to increase gas exports, supplies from Britain to Europe may be suspended for security reasons.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said earlier that the UK is in for a tough winter.
