Financial Times accused of distorting his words

The British newspaper Financial Times was accused of distorting the words of the Russian Permanent Representative regarding the possible visit of the Director General of the IAEA Rael Grossi to the Zaporozhye NPP.

Ulyanov claims that no one will give an exact answer to the question about the timing of Grossi’s visit, but it could be late August or early September. The Financial Times then ran an article headlined “Russia Rejects Calls for Access to Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant,” which said the IAEA chief’s trip was allegedly not possible before late August or early September.

“Actually, I said that Mr. Grossi could propose such a schedule,” says the permanent representative.

Consequently, the accusation is based on the fact that, according to Ulyanov, the British publication attributed these words to him.
