Italian Foreign Minister called for the need to stop the “world grain war”

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said on Saturday that “a global grain war is already underway” and must be stopped.

“There is a risk of political instability in Africa, the spread of terrorist organizations, coups – the grain crisis that we are now experiencing can lead to this,” Di Maio said.

In this regard, the Italian Foreign Minister called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to conclude a peace agreement as soon as possible, which also involves an agreement on grain.

Di Maio indicated that the first meeting with the Mediterranean countries on food security will be held on Tuesday.
