President Vučić confirmed the detention of former SSU general Naumov in Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić confirmed that the police of the republic had detained the former general of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) Andriy Naumov

The former head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the SSU was caught for smuggling currency and jewelry on the Macedonian-Serbian border.

“Do you mean Mr. Naumov? I have [such] information,” Vučić said in response to a journalist’s question about a Ukrainian citizen detained at the border.

In the car of citizens of Ukraine and Germany caught by Serbian law enforcement officers, 607 thousand euros, 124 thousand dollars, as well as two emeralds were found. The money was hidden in the first aid kit, trash bags, children’s toys, in the cabin and in the trunk.

In April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called traitors and stripped of the ranks of two generals of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU). The former head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the SSU Andrei Naumov and the former head of the SSU Directorate in the Kherson region Serhiy Krivoruchko lost their titles.
