The Chinese army sent 26 aircraft and four ships to Taiwan.

Taiwan’s armed forces on Monday recorded the approach of 26 aircraft and four ships of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) to the island, follows from the daily report of the Taiwanese defense department.

“As of 5:00 p.m. on October 10, the Taiwanese armed forces detected the activity of 26 aircraft and four ships of the People’s Liberation Army of China in the maritime and airspace near Taiwan,” the report said.

It is noted that eight aircraft crossed the so-called “middle line” of the Taiwan Strait, including six J-16 fighter jets, one Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft and one Y-8 electronic intelligence aircraft.

Taiwan sent an air patrol to monitor the situation, issued radio warnings, and also deployed anti-aircraft missile systems.
